You may be doing everything you are supposed to do—working, caring for others, showing up, pushing through—yet still feel anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unlike yourself. Melanie Hiler works with adults and also brings decades of experience helping children, teens, and parents navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and difficult life transitions. Her approach is warm, practical, and collaborative, helping clients understand what is happening beneath the surface, strengthen how they cope, communicate more clearly, and make real, meaningful changes in daily life—at home, at school, and at work.
Melanie offers practical, insight-oriented therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship strain, and major life changes. She helps clients build self-awareness, regulate emotions, communicate more effectively, and create healthier patterns that support lasting change.
With nearly three decades of clinical experience, Melanie has been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 1998 and holds supervisory credentials (LPCC-S) in Kentucky. She earned her Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma and has been a Certified Mediator since 2002—a background that informs how she helps clients and families move through conflict and change with greater clarity and resolution. Her therapeutic style draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), emotionally focused, person-centered, solution-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, blended thoughtfully to fit what each client needs in the room. She works particularly well with women navigating life transitions, parents seeking guidance with their children, couples working through relational strain, and individuals processing grief or trauma.
Reaching out for support can feel hard, especially when you have been carrying so much on your own. You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy is a place to feel heard, supported, and understood while taking steady steps toward healing, clarity, and lasting change. When you are ready, Melanie would be glad to walk alongside you.
